Pony course that is intended for preschool children, consists of six hours and can take up to 6 children. One course is carried out in the early autumn and the other in spring, each of them as closely togehter as the parents’ schedules allow. The programme teaches little children respect for the animal, helps them lose the feeling of fear and teaches them the basis of riding and horse work in general. Children help at putting the bridle and saddle on. In the riding area they lead the pony and r ide it with and without the saddle and thus gain the important balance and other motoric abilities. There is also a lot of play involved, especially in the sense of acting out the work and feelings of either the rider or the horse. It is a great psycho-physical programme for preschool children in the open-air.
